The Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney nestled at the base of the Blue Mountains has been impressing athletes for a few years now and rightfully so. With views of the mountains and the lakes and rivers of Penrith, it’s a truly back to nature race that gets amateurs and pros from around the world excited. The course is based near the Blue Mountains and utilises the iconic Penrith Lakes, located at the International Regatta Centre, for the swim. The bike course includes breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. The brand new flat, scenic run course takes in Penrith’s Nepean River along the Great River Walk, before runners return to the iconic Sydney International Regatta Centre venue to celebrate down the finish chute.

Penrith is located 50 km west of the Sydney central business district and is the administrative centre for the local government area of the City of Penrith. It lies east of the Nepean River. Penrith Lakes, home to the 2000 Sydney Olympic International Regatta Centre, will encompass the event precinct.
